Procedure [timing]:
- First, I will introduce myself and ask the class if they know what a Trend Forecaster is. After, I will clarify what exactly it is. Also, I will ask what kinds of things do they know about fashion.
- Then, I will hold up a picture from every 50 years or so and ask them if they can see significant changes in that short amount of time difference.
- Then, I will explain to them the sort of things that can cause a trend or fad to come into style and go out of style.
- Then, I will explain to them what kind of items of clothing will always be in style and why.
- By then, I should be done and I will ask if they have any questions.
Check for understanding: I will periodically ask if anyone has any questions.
Resources/Materials: I will bring printed out photos of the typical fashion trend from several passed years.
Checking for understanding does not mean that you ask if they have questions. You need to ask specific questions about the info you have covered.
