Objective: Students will learn something about horror film acting.
Procedure [timing]:
First, I will introduce myself and my senior project. Then I will tell them a little bit about what I've been learning with my service learning person.
Then, I will ask them all to think of their favorite scary movie and to keep it in mind during my presentation because in my short activity, I will ask them to tell me if their movie would fall under horror, gore, or terror.
Then, I will explain to them the difference between horror, gore, and terror. With this knowledge, they will use it in my short activity.
Then, I will do the main activity which is selecting a few students at random and having them improv a performance based on the small, basic scene that I give them. This should take up the remainder of the time because each small performance should take about a total of 4 minutes.
By then, I should be done and I will ask if they have any questions.
Check for understanding: I will periodically ask if anyone has any questions.
Resources/Materials: I intend on making a 3 sided poster board with just visuals on it and bringing in small award throphies for the group that did the best performance in my main activity.
It seems a little bit like your main activity doesn't have students use info that you taught. Make sure that it does. Review component contract. Remember that you will need at least 10 minutes of talking time.
ReplyDeletewhaaat?! you said 5 minutes talking, 15 minutes activity. -___-
